"Half love the bed, half not so much. Love that my side is very firm while my husband's is very soft. But we've found that the bed is VERY hot. It's down to 30 degrees F at night here now, and we're still only sleeping with a sheet -- anything more and we're sweating our butts off. If Select Comfort would correct this problem, it would be the perfect bed."

"We were unsure that the bed would live up to its hype, but it has really made a huge difference to the quality of sleep we get. The ability to adjust the settings independently of one another is great - we both get a great night's sleep with no backache! We did have one problem with the bed, but a call to customer service got the problem fixed very easily without hassle. Love the bed!"

"My wife and I bought the expanded queen 5000 and foundation 5 1/2 years ago as a wedding present to ourselves. We have had a few quality problems (the foundation cracked and the top foam pad wore down a bit), but they were quick replaced with re-engineered parts that seem to have solved the issues. From what I've read, the more recent models are improved in terms of quality.

I don't think we would have enjoyed married life as much with a bed that didn't adjust for each person. I'm bigger and heavier than my wife, and I prefer a firmer mattress, so a traditional bed would have been way too hard for her or far too mushy for me. When she got pregnant, we really appreciated that she could make the bed even softer for sleep and re-inflate it to help her out of bed in the morning. Sometimes, when my back starts acting up, I've found that making my side a bit more firm helps me sleep better.

I can't think of a better present than a good night's sleep."

"My partner and I have VERY different sleep needs, and this bed makes that possible. Instead of one of us having to "settle" we both get the bed we want! We love it and would definately purchase another one."

"I have had bad back problems and my bed made my back pains worse. When I heard the claims in the ad that the Select Comfort bed would help ease back pains by providing the needed support while I slept, I figured I would try out the bed and see if it would in fact support my back and lead to a better night's sleep.
The Select Comfort bed lived up to the ad and now I have no problems sleeping at night, and my back problems are not made worse by the bed.
Great bed and I would and have recommended one to everyone."

"I'm 5'5" and weigh 120 pounds and my husband is 6'2" and weighs 300 pounds, absolutely no way we could be comfortable in the same bed until we bought the Sleep Number. We actually sleep through the night. The best purchase ever made."

"I put off buying a Select Comfort for too long. I should have done it sooner. The bed is highly adjustable for both people. Pick your own firmness setting. I was happy to find a new motorhome that has a Select Comfort and bought it. Now we are comfortable in either home."

"Just had my second back surgery and I am so glad that we purchased this bed!!! Seriously, depending upon how my back feels on any given day - I just have to adjust my side of the bed and I sleep all night.
I've told people about how great the bed is and now we all have lengthy conversations about how well we sleep."

"We love our Select Comfort bed. It is nice to be able to adjust the hardness/softness of the mattress if your back aches. We thought the bed was on the expensive side, but it is well worth it. We sleep better than we ever have. No more back aches when we wake up in the morning."

"we bought this bed after hearing the bombardament of commercials on tv and radio. we absolutely love it, we wake up without back pain and ready to tackle the day. it took a little time to figure out what your number is, but the best part is we accidently discovered that if you strain your back during the day you can go to bed and adjust your number one or two didgets higher for the next couple days and wammo you actually feel better then you can go back to your number."

An Answer to Our Prayers Date: October 27, 2007
"After ten years, we decided it was time for a new bed. We were disagreeing on what type, pillow, firm, soft...after months, we weren't making any progress. One night while watching television, Lindsey Wagner came on to promote the Select Comfort. After a few minutes, my wife and I looked at each other as if to say, here's an answer to our prayers.

Within a week, we were sleeping on our Select Comfort. Within a month of giving friends and family a testimonial, we've found out that many of them had Select Comfort for many years. One of family member told us that after 15 years, the compressor gave out, and Select Comfort was wonderful and shipped them a new one for free.

We love our Select Comfort...an answer to our prayers."

"I have slept on a regular inner spring mattress for many years. I had been watching the ads for Sleep Number for quite some time. It sounded like an excellent idea so I purchased a Sleep Number 5000.
This is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. I have it set on 50 and very seldom change it, but I can if I need to. That is a feature no other mattress has. I do have to say that it took me about 3 weeks to adjust to this new style of mattress. Then I realized that I had been sleeping completely through the night and had not been tossing and turning.
I felt like I was completely supported, with no pressure points.
I would recommend this mattress to anyone who has trouble with an uncomfortable innerspring mattress. It is a bit more expensive, but it is well worth it in my opinion."

"We've had our bed for almost a year and have never been sorry we got it. Does it cure ALL your aches and pains? No, but it certainly is a huge improvement over a regular mattress set. We got the split King and it is wonderful. My husband has restless leg syndrome and I can't feel his legs jumping at all, yet we are right next to each other like in a regular bed. The bed is much more comfortable for me (I like a softer mattress) and adjustable. It helps to lift the head up higher to breath easier when you sleep. We had a problem with the control and it was replaced cheerfully and promptly, no questions asked. The only reason I didn't rate value with 5 stars is because it IS expensive and possibly out-of-reach for some people."

"Wish I had bought a long time ago. Bed has never lost air. The wife and I like different firmness numbers and it sets and retains that number forever. Bed is so quiet that we can get up without waking the other, very nice.
Buy one you will not be disappointed."

"I had to give up my sleep number bed after getting married and it was the worst thing I've ever done. Less than a year later, we were online ordering our new sleep number bed because my back was hurting me every day. We got our bed and within a week my back was feeling better. I love being able to change the firmness according to how my back is feeling. I still get back pain occasionally, but not the constant ache that I had without my bed. I will never be without my sleep number bed again!"

"My wife and I finally deceided to purchase one of these beds when our old matteress needed to be replaced. We thought the price was kind of steep for basically a couple adjustable air matteresses. But needed to try something different for our ailing backs. It is nice to be able to adjust your own firmness, and we do look forward when we are away from home to stay at a Radisson with the sleep number beds. The bed wasn't a cure all for us but with the adjustability at least we can make it through the night without going out to the recliner. In all, we are glad we purchased our sleep number bed ."

"This bed was a God send after my car accident. I normally like a softer mattress, but after the accident I needed a firmer one. This bed is the best investment I've ever made. My husband and I sleep all night with little or no tossing and turning. I would reccomend this bed to everyone."
