"I used to always watch TV in my bedroom until I got this bed. Now, as soon as I get into this remarkable bed, I can't keep my eyes open but for about 10 minutes. I have to set the sleep timer on the TV or it stays on all night...it's happened many times. So, if you buy this bed (and you won't regret even its expensiveness) be prepared for a GREAT night's sleep! I can't say enough good about this bed, but be sure you get their BEST! Trust me, you may want to buy the less expensive models, but don't do it. Trust your instincts and go FIRST CLASS!"
"We purchased this bed in August 2006. It replaced a knock-off tempurpedic that started out good, but within 1 year was so soft, that we kept getting back-aches. After going to the Select Comfort store in our local shopping mall, we decided to purchase. We could not be happier. Bed sleeps like new yet, no sagging, no problems. Had the bed shipped to the house, and elected to set it up myself. Setup was very easy, and completed in 1 hour or less. My wife and I sleep with different sleep numbers(70 for me, 50 for my wife). You can hardly tell where one matress ends, the other starts. Great technology. I definitely recommend this bed to anyone who wants good support. I gave the product all 5 stars with the exception of value. The sticker shock was a little hard to get past, when *all* other bed manufactures list their beds in the same price range, but then sell them at 50% off. Just a physcological thing I guess., as I have absolutely NO buyers remorse."
"This bed has eased my aches and pains and I sleep so much more soundly at night. I love being able to adjust the firmness to my needs."

"My wife and I purchased the I-10 Split King. After two weeks, we are pleased with the bed and the investment, even taking the many unhappy comments into consideration. We did give the value a good rating only because it was a bit over our means. The sales folks and including the delivery folks were great. At this point, we can say excellent in all but the one catagory. Hopefully our initial impression of the I-10 Split King continues indefinately."

"I paid 5,000,00 to much The number bed does not meet what I expected of it. I have a bad back can never work again this bed did not does not help it at all it could be made a lot better than it is now. The sides of the bed should be stronger, the mattress does not stay in place no matter what you do to me the bed should be the best being the number 10. I'm sure no one with your company wants to hear this but I'm telling the truth I've had the bed over one year. I need a new bed can you help? Thank you for your help."

Not so sure about this bed
Date:October 31, 2011
"We purchased this bed after looking at various types of mattresses - traditional, foam and air. We chose this set because it promised great sleep and all the reviews that we read indicated that our back pain would disappear. I have problems with the pressure points on my hips. We have had this bed 3 nights, and for 3 nights I slept in the guest room. I cannot find my number, although in the store, I had no problem. My husband has been able to sleep, but said that it is not as comfortable as he'd hoped or as comfortable as it felt in the store. Tonight, we will switch the foam layers and see if that helps. Otherwise, this bed is going back. I can't justify the amount of money we have spent on an air mattress."

No Back Pain.
Date:April 6, 2011
"I recently bought the ILE special edition bed on sale. I had a Sleep Number 5000 bed that was 8 years old. It was still good but I was starting to get back pain again. I was on vacation in Newport Beach and talked with David the manager who suggested the ILE bed. He felt the newer design with the 5 zones would be a vast improvement. After two nights by back pain disappeared and I no longer take anti-inflammatory medications. I liked my previous model but would have never believed the difference. Thank-you David!"

GREAT COMFORT WITH A LARGE PRICE TAG!!!!!!
Date:March 14, 2011
"i just bought my i10 a couple months ago... at first i was trying to grasp the idea that i just spent over $5000 on a bed... im only 27 but my last bed some s$%^#y i bought from sleepys and spent $1500 on lasted about 6 months then it started deforming my back... So back to the i10, i was desperately trying to make my self uncomfortable in the bed so i had a reason to return it. The first week wasnt too bad but i was trying higher sleep numbers which hurt my back still then gradually i found a good number... 30... i relax and watch television at a 50 or so and then when i go to sleep i switch to a 30 and about 5 minutes after i turn the lights out im fast asleep and dreading getting out of this bed in the morning. I wouldnt even think about going back to another spring mattress. I have never slept in those high end memory foam beds so i dont know how they compare to this but i do know once they start to sag, you need to replace the whole mattress but if this bed starts to sag then i might be one peice of material you need to replace which might run you about 200-$250 and its covered for i think 20 years. Its really hard to tell in the store if you like it but they will help you find your sleep number and if you dont like it with in 30 days you return it, of course they get you for a return fee but its just like renting a bed for a month i guess... GET ONE NOW!!!!!!!"

The i10....just buy it!
Date:February 11, 2011
"Had a Select Comfort bed for 12+ years....roughly equal to the current C3....and liked it. As it wore, bedroom furniture changed, and we wanted to move out of Cal King to Eastern we decided to try a good innerspring mattress for the first time in 25 years. Big mistake and we cut our losses after less than two years of that disaster. Initially, instead of the i10 we bought a Sleep Number i series Limited Edition during the recent holiday sale....blinded by a very attractive price. That was also a mistake.. The Limited Edition was a good bed...much better than the system we purchased about 15 years ago. But it had a few short comings you may read about if you wish on my review of it. Bottom line, it doesn't even come close to the i10 system. We shortly exchanged the iLE for the i10 at half again the price....never looked back, and couldn't be happier. The i10 is a great bed! The combination of its inherent firmness adjustability coupled with its four inch, quality memory/base foam system and excellent top cushion and fabric are exactly what we need. Thirty or forty years ago I could sleep anywhere on anything. Today not so much. The i10's ability to provide joint pressure pain relief, hip in particular for me, is priceless. I can actually sleep on my side again. I rate this bed very high on value. I believe design, materials, and concept execution combine to make it so. I do realize this bed isn't cheap and everyone's needs are different. In particular, a good alternative might be the i8. But if you can or want to afford it the i10, it is definitely worth it...especially considering a practical service life of up to 15 years."

Smartest thing we ever did
Date:January 26, 2011
"I have Multiple Sclerosis and had not slept well for at least the last 4 years. In the last year I was never able to sleep more than an hour at a time without waking up tossing and turning. We were in the mall in Springfield MO and on lark decided to go in the Sleep Number store. The salesman was terrific, no hard sell just demonstrated the products and allowed us to try all of the choices. We elected to purchase this bed in a King and an adjustable frame. We had the bed delivered and the two gentleman who came to set it up were great. Both of them actually had sleep number beds and not only did a great job of setting up the bed for me, but shared lots of tips. From the first night I slept in the bed, I have been in heaven. I sleep through the night, wake up with no pain or stiffness and feel rested for the first time in a long time. This bed has not only made a difference in my sleep but in my life. I have more energy and a much better outlook on life. Thanks sleep number for changing my life for the better."

Worth every penny

"I am a recent graduate and I work an unbelieable amount of hours as an accountant. The constant standing and moving around the office leaves me quite restless. I happened to pass a Sleep Number store and was intrigued. I initially was skeptical, but do to the representative giving me detailed accounts of the mattress and why it cost so much more than a traditional, I felt I should give it a try. Well The first night of sleep on the i10 was horrible. Im pretty sensible so I knew that was because I was used to sleeping on another brand. After a week or so, I must admit, I greatly started to appreciate the things it does. Sure, its strange sleeping on air, but I know in the long run I will be happy. The warranty is pretty standard. I think I would much rather pay a couple hundred for a new part than pay $1000 or so for a new bed every few years. I'm very pleased. Good luck to all of you and I hope you can get what I have gotten out of these beds."

Decent Purchase, Terrible Experience
Date:July 11, 2010
"Let me clarify this right off the bat: the product is decent, and the sales people were decent to work with. However, I view the entire experience as part of the purchase.
The fact that Select Comfort pushes a dictatorship-like oversight on its products is troubling enough. Add to that the fact that they are blatantly taking advantage of their monopoly on air beds, I find it disgusting that I pay $4500 for a new mattress and cannot even get home delivery thrown in. Heck, I couldn't even get something taken off of the legs for the foundation. All I left with was a receipt for a $4500 mattress, a $160 delivery fee, $160 legs, and a free travel pillow.
Really? A travel pillow?
That is why I've chosen to make it point whenever someone asks about Select Comport beds to move them away from that decision only because the Corporation is disgustingly shrewd.
Select Comfort may have gained my money, but they also gained a very disgruntled customer that will pass whatever negative feedback I can to anyone that will listen."

Hi there. My name is Stephanie. I am a member of Select Comfort's online Customer Service team. I am very sorry that you are unhappy with the price you paid for your Sleep Number bed. I understand that, in this economy, and in any economy, $4500.00 is a lot of money to spend on a bed. While this is a lot of money, the product is well worth the initial investment. While we are not able to bargain with the pricing of the bed or give you free delivery, we do offer a variety of promotions every month. They might be for financing, a cash discount or for accessories. I am truly sorry that you feel that we do not appreciate your business, as I can assure you that this is not the case. We thank you for your comments and for choosing the Sleep Number bed.

Bunch of hidden add ons

"I did get the bed in less than a week. That was a plus. However I ordered the legs & brackets for the head/foot boards. After getting found out the foot boards were extra & the sales people acted like I was odd for wanting them. Then I got my pillows later in the day from the day of install. For being UPS, that was slow. I pulled the pillows out, and they were standard pillows. I ordered a king sized bed and they thought I wanted standard pillows. Now I have to wait a week to get my pillows. In addition the foundation is made of plastic. It has some rough spots on it from the mold. You will have to sand it down or ruin a pair of pants like I did."

HUGE help for Fibromyalgia!!!
Date:March 15, 2010
"I have had Fibromyalgia for 7 years. My husband and I finally bought a King i10 this past February, after trying all other "regular" mattresses out there. My Select Comfort bed is THE BEST!!!! My Fibromyalgia makes it extremely difficult for me to get comfortable; I was tossing and turning all night on conventional mattresses. After just ONE night on my new bed I was a believer! This bed allows me to get comfortable and sleep through the night for the first time in 7 years! My husband loves it too. We are loyal Select Comfort customers for life! We also bought the Pima Cotton sheets and the In-Balance Comforter and we love them!! Thanks a million, Select Comfort!!! My sleep number: 35 My husband's: 40."

Best Purchase Ever

"After my husband left I decided it was time for a new bed... I tried the Temperpedic couldn't stand being stuck in one place all night. I sent it back. Then I tried my Sleep Number I am a 35 absolutely loved it. I always have trouble sleeping as my mind is going a hundred miles an hour. This was not the case with my Sleep Number I have slept soundly for the last 7 years. I wouldn't have made it through the last 7 years without it... I recently came to help my Mother who is 95 in Walnut Creek, I am planning on buying another one as I haven't been able to get a good nights sleep since I have been here. Mine is in storage in San Diego with all of my other belongings... My married children have also purchased Sleep Number beds as they wanted the quality and the ability to change the settings for more comfort. Thank you Sleep Number for this wonderful ticket to a good nights sleep."

Fabulous, with a small adjustment
Date:January 20, 2010
"We purchased an i10 as a Christmas gift to ourselves, a good night's sleep is worth every dollar. Very comfortable top pad with a noticeable cooling effect and easily adjustable to tune the bed to our needs. The gift that gives all year long.
FYI: At first we had a problem with rolling to the middle of the bed, don't know why, but it was easily solved by calling customer service and getting a "lift" (essentially just a piece of foam to go under the air chambers).
You deserve one too... Highly recommended!"

"We bought a king Sleep Number bed over 8 years ago, and absolutely love it, and are considering getting a split-king adjustable bed, and moving our old one into our guest room. My husband and I are comfortable on a different mattress firmness, so this bed has solved all our problems. We are excited for our guests to be able to us one too. My mom was so happy with ours when she had to housesit, she bought one for herself, and after 3 years, still loves it. Sister-in-law has the adjustable one and has convinced us to get one too. It is expensive, but being able to sleep well at night is priceless."

It's your life

"When I was 21 years old I had back surgery and recently at 52 had shoulder surgery. At this stage of my life I felt I deserved a good bed but hesitated about paying so much. I liked the 30 trial, but didn't need it as this bed is great.
Right after surgery I set it as low as 25 but I now like 35. In any case after 15 months I am just as happy with it as I was the first day. I use their memory foam pillow and when I hit the bed it is lights out quickly. The last few months I have been working out at the gym and I get a little tired and sore as I progress. Sometimes I need to crash and take a nap. When i fall into this bed it is a great relief. I feel cradled and soothed, and I can honestly say that I am asleep almost instantaneously.
This bed is actually helping me to revitalize my life and my only regret is that I didn't step up and buy it earlier. Then again it's fun to be able to physically improve at this age."

worst purchase ever

"Very unhappy with the product. I did not know when I bought the mattress that if body indentations appeared I had the following options - (1) use a vaccum hose to try and puff it up (2) remove the whole cover and shake it out (3) put it in a large dryer. None of this was explained to me at the time of purchase. I never would have brought the mattress if someone had told about this problem. Now, if the above three options do not work you can purchase a whole new cover for approximately $1000.00 for a king size bed. If I had to do it all over again, I would go back to the old favorite brands that last just as long and cost far less."

AMAZING

"You truly must lay on this bed. We tried it in the St Clair Square Mall in IL, it was truly incredible. My hubby (who is very money conscious) was in sticker shock. I was a little surprised too, however we have purchased many beds over the years and been very unhappy. One of us was miserable (usually me) and he can sleep anywhere. I have had 2 back surgeries and found myself sleeping in the recliner most of the time, now I feel so good that I sleep for the most part the entire night through and I feel rested for a change when I get up. More energy for my life and family. You really must give it a shot, as the really nice gal told me at the store what do you have to lose other than another good nights sleep. She was right. This truly has been the best investment we ever made. I have sent several of my family members in and lots of friends too. My only regret is not buying one sooner."
